I'm 34 years old and for me 2006-2012 was prime football. Football last years became more 'mechanic' like stars as Bellingham. But real talents like Xavi, Iniesta, Sneijder, Van der Vaart, those real '8' and '10' are almost gone. Barcelona in those years was unbelievable. Dominating games like no other team ever did. But also Bayern with Robben and Ribery, Inter with Sneijder, Zanetti, Milito and Eto'o.. Those teams were so unbelievable good. I can only imagine how good our Dutch national team would've been if the defenders from this time we're in the team with Sneijder, Van der Vaart, Robben, Van Persie, Huntelaar, etc.

2009 was Xavi's prime in terms of numbers and performance. Imagine a central midfielder who has 31 assists and 10 goals with a total of 41 goal contributions, the best midfielder in la liga, the best midfielder in uefa champions league and the best playmaker in the world. Just imagine it.

Watching this man playing is like a football revelation! Talent in players like Messi is definitely better but it is confined to a small part of the game. But Xavi.. ohh, him playing is like defining what football (as a whole) is. I don't think what he does on the pitch is just about winning the game, it's more than that. As if a spirit of a visionary painter, baroque composer or a philosopher possessed a footballer body.

Iniesta and Messi is the greatest duo… The world gave more glory to Messi but only Messi knew that Iniesta played better than him. The ordinary people reward the attackers more than the intelligent tacticians. You could feel the shoulder when use bumbed only thing was with my own team I finished training every week with bloody shins .
